I started training at the age of 19, when I quit boxing. I boxed for three years, this was a very helpful time for me to learn something about discipline. So since two years, I did Natural Bodybuilding. I love this sport so much, it is my life. I love the lifestyle, the nutrition, the training – just everything.
I study nutrition science at the University of Vienna and also work as a Personal Fitness Coach. This helps me a lot, because I know everything about nutrition and training.
The same mistakes everybody did, I absolutely had no idea. False nutrition was definitely the main point. I didn’t know anything about a workout routine, about the exercises and mind-muscle connection.
You won’t have any success if you don’t stay consistent. That’s a fact. You absolutely have to work hard and stay disciplined, there is no other way to become successful.
So my tip to everyone who cannot stay consistent: You have to decide if you want to achieve success or not. If you want to become successful and get a nice body, you have to work your ass off and stay consistent. There is definitely no other way.
Yes, of course. I need music for motivation while training. I listen to a lot of German Hip-Hop, and also other music. My favourite song for working out at the moment is Hold Strong and the soundtrack of Generation Iron: Never Gonne Stop. I love it.
That I have to push out this last rep if I want to gain muscle. That I am a loser if I do not manage another repetition.
100%. I plan every workout, every exercise, also all my repetitions. I write it all in a training booklet and try to do every training session with more weight or more reps. I also plan my nutrition and all of my meals in order to have the perfect amount of carbs, protein and fats.
My discipline. There are no excuses, I don’t party, don’t drink alcohol, don’t smoke, nothing. I am very proud of my staying power and my body for two years of training.
I bulk, but very lean. I call it lean bulk, so I gain muscle and little fat. In my opinion, you cannot gain much muscle if you stay at 6-8% body fat the whole year. But I never go over 12-13%.
Just jogging during my cut after workout sessions for about 30-40 minutes. I don’t do much cardio, I think it is not very important when you want to lose fat.
My training split is Push/Pull/Legs&Abs.
When I want to get in peak condition, I try to lose some water and fat in two weeks. I do some cardio after my workout session and reduce my calories and carbs. That’s it. In the last few days I also don’t eat salt.
Creatine, Whey Protein, Omega 3, Glutamine and Zinc. Also Vitamin C. But supplements are not very important. Nutrition and training is the main part, these have to be perfect. If your nutrition and training is perfect, you can use supplements. That’s my opinion about supplements.
