I got into proper weight training when I came to Melbourne Australia in or around 2007/2008.
It is an addiction and just a way of life now, if I don’t workout or I eat crap for a few days then I feel crap and look softer. Which is not my aim.
I go through stages with cardio, I always mix it up. I do love a stair climber, intervals on the running machines, or jogging outdoors/power walking on incline.
Salmon seasoned is lovely with green veggies, white boiled egg yolks, avocado or even mixed salad.
Generally porridge for breakfast or eggs, chicken, green veggies, salmon and occasionally steak with different seasoning and veggies. I also add rice some days if I feel I need more energy.
I have a very bad sweet tooth for chocolate, and eat a bit most days, but my food is always so clean and I only drink water so I don’t think it matters too much. If I need to be super strict I just have a small bit of dark chocolate or chew gum and drink more water.
Squats (deep)
Lats (wide grip)
Abs exercises
I always have it on shuffle so I don’t know what’s coming on, I don't like the same thing, doing the same sets each week. My music is on shuffle or sound cloud so I can listen to different Dj's.
I generally mix it up every time. I don’t do the same workout every week, a leg day would consist of:
Leg extensions: 3 sets x 15-20 reps light and squeezing the muscles. (Probably one of my toughest exercises I do.)
Leg curls: 3 sets x 15 reps reasonably heavy
Deep squats: 4 sets 10-12 reps
Sumo squats: 3 sets x 10 reps
Dumbbell walking lunges: 3 sets x 10 reps
Calf raises: 3 sets x 20 reps
Deadlifts: 3 - 4 sets x 10-12 reps
My long term goal to be the best I can and successful in doing what I love to do.
Turning my whole lifestyle around from going out partying all of the time to becoming a fitness fanatic and helping and inspiring other people showing that they can do it too. Also getting featured in oxygen magazine was a very proud moment for me.
You have your ups and down days, sometimes you just want to be lazy and don’t want to train or eat well for whatever reason… But life goes on, wouldn't say it's held me back, you just have to carry on.
Definitely the mirror and how I am feeling.
I think Jamie Eason is amazing. Andreia Brazier, Justine Switalla … There are heaps.
I only use protein powder for drinks and at the moment I'm not using any as I have just moved back to London so need to get some in.
1 - Don't starve yourself, food is the key to the figure you want to achieve.
2 - Don't be afraid of weights, they literally can change your body in so many good ways. They will not give you massive muscles like men. You can always back off if you feel too muscular.
3 - Take progress pictures and share them for more motivation.
